Treatment Overview
Total Hip Replacement (THR) or hip arthroplasty replaces the diseased ball (femoral head) and socket (acetabulum) of the hip joint. The surgeon inserts an artificial stem into the femur and covers the socket with a metal shell and highly durable plastic or ceramic liner, restoring smooth rotation and weight distribution.

The metal socket cup and femoral stem are implanted and tested for rotation.
